Season 07 recap

Hey there team. Thought I would share some of my adventures from the 2007 season. It was another good one, that’s for sure. Memories of great river trips, new friends and amazing adventures will hopefully get me through the next few months of school.

Still to high!

img_5679.JPGCheck out the new Nookie cag in the picture.

My local play spot where we normally play every week in the summer has been to high for the last few months due to heavy rain. So this week i decided to take the Speeder for a session,  normally paddling my playboat or creeker i expected it to be very unstable. After a couple of minutes on the water i felt very stable once trusting those large wings behind the seat and was surprised how nimble the speeder is for the length. I feel there could be a few more postings on here of myself in the speeder.

This weekend saw the next leg of the alpkit challenge series, it was held on the Tryweryn North Wales.  Not going to say much about it, apart from it was a good weekend. Jamie finished second in C1 and i finished 8th in the mens K1.

Next event will be held at the Northampton white water centre, 29th-30th September.

Adirondack Holiday Weekend

BobbyP
It was a very nice weekend up in Northern New York for the releases on the Raquette river and Taylorsville Moshier and Eagle sections of the Beaver. The Ammo was definitely in its element, perfect fun familiar run boat. We camped out and kayaked with my dad and a crew of good friends. Check out the video. Read the rest of this entry »

Upper Blackwater

Jared, Graham, and I arrived back east just in time to paddle some of the classic runs we learned to kayak on. We ended up runing the Upper Blackwater, Upper Yough, Top Yough, and Big Sandy all at good flows and some of the warmest days I’ve ever paddled these runs. Another bonus, we were able to do these runs with people we grew up kayaking with. Read the rest of this entry »

US Wildwater Nationals

wwnats2.jpg

I took the Speeder to US Wildwater Nationals on the Deerfiled River over the weekend.  It was different kind of competition for me.  I had a great time, and took down the rest of the plastic boats with the help of my good friend the Speeder.

Oetz

A couple of friends of mine and I have just come back from an awesome paddling trip in the Oetz Valley in Austria. We have done the upper and the middle Oetz and were busy training for the Extreme Kayaking World Championships, which are going to be there in October. Two broken paddles and one broken nose prove our efforts to be absolutely fit for this big event…
