The portage on the Allt Baille a'Mhuilinn burn

After our recent trip to Norway, Gavin and I decided to attempt to run 10 new scottish rivers. We’d had our eye on a small burn called Allt Baille a’Mhuilinn for a few years but had never caught it at the right level. After a typical scottish day of torrential rain we decided to head up to check the level. The burn was just runnable, but as it was still raining hard we decided to get on in the hope it would rise further. Within half an hour the level had went up a further 12 inches which was perfect. We had to portage a 10 m dog leg fall with a shallow landing. We had an amazing day on the water. Here’s a link to the small video I made; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OyTqifZRX8
