Back from Mexico Creeking Clinics

In December, we headed down to Mexico to teach creeking for two weeks at the Huasteca Secreta resorts in San Luis Potosi state. Here are a couple of pics from two of the rivers – the Ojo Frio and the Cascadas Micos. All of our students had a great time paddling the fleet of Pyranha boats that we brought down there – Burns, Everests, and Ammos.

To view the full report and all of the photos, go to RiverGypsies.com.

We have been in Chile for a little over two weeks. We have done some amazing runs, and some of the best kayaking in one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever been. Pucon has been our main base, but with the water just about run out here we are getting ready to head south to the infamous Rio Futaleufu. Check out a video of the rivers and waterfalls we’ve run in and around Pucon. Read the rest of this entry »

GBR Freestyle Team Selection 2007

Once again it was that time of year to compete for a place on the GBR Freestyle Team. The purpose of the event was to select the team for the 2008 European Championships to be held in Galicia, Spain next July so as you can imagine, the competition was tough. The event was split into two events held over the two days at two different venues, Hurley weir on the River Thames and the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham. Having decided after that last European Championships to retire from OC1 competition I was only competing in the C1 category in the new Rev M.
