{"id":8635,"date":"2011-08-22T22:04:08","date_gmt":"2011-08-22T21:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/?p=8635"},"modified":"2011-08-22T22:04:08","modified_gmt":"2011-08-22T21:04:08","slug":"colorado-treats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/colorado-treats\/","title":{"rendered":"Colorado Treats"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just returned home from my adventurous summer in Buena Vista, Colorado where I worked for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitewatercolorado.com\/\">Kodi Rafting<\/a> as a raft guide.  Even with the season being as busy as it was and without a car halfway through the summer I was still fortunate enough to explore a lot of local gems in the area.<\/p>\n<p>The best part of the summer had to of been safety kayaking for Kodi down the Numbers which is a class IV section of white water on the Arkansas River.  Most days the job was easy and I got a free meal on the river.  I think it has to be ranked top for one of the best jobs I&#8217;ve ever landed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/291731_2333971392734_1353295102_32715750_624384_n.jpg\" title=\"Kodi Rafting\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/291731_2333971392734_1353295102_32715750_624384_n.jpg\" alt=\"Kodi Rafting\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" class=\"attachment wp-att-8636 centered\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>During the last few weeks of my stay two friends from Maryland, Eric Haley and Eliza Burk came out for a couple of days to visit and I was able to get some time off to show Eric down the Numbers before they had to leave for their next departure to Yellowstone. I am home now in Pennsylvania still working as a part time DJ and starting school this week.  Hoping to see everyone this year at the festivities.
