{"id":21913,"date":"2020-10-08T08:44:38","date_gmt":"2020-10-08T07:44:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/?p=21913"},"modified":"2020-10-14T09:57:10","modified_gmt":"2020-10-14T08:57:10","slug":"the-wellerbrucke-in-the-ozone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/the-wellerbrucke-in-the-ozone\/","title":{"rendered":"The Wellerbr\u00fccke in the Ozone."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"590\" height=\"332\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qdnR-g7xZS8?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-GB&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I should first say that while I have a lot of love for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/kayaks.php?kayak=Ozone\">Ozone<\/a>, it is not the best choice for this style of water and I can only recommend using a bigger kayak such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/kayaks.php?kayak=Ripper\">Ripper<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/kayaks.php?kayak=Machno\">Machno<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/kayaks.php?kayak=9R%20II\">9R II<\/a> on this style of river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Wellerbr\u00fccke is fast, steep, and chock-full of places you don\u2019t want to end up. The water dropped and revealed a rock in the landing, though fortunately, it looked like I would have enough speed to clear it&#8230; possibly, maybe, sort of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/WB-free-ride-2-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21921\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/WB-free-ride-2-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/WB-free-ride-2-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/WB-free-ride-2-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/WB-free-ride-2-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/WB-free-ride-2-1-2048x1152.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I wussed out of the trick twice for fear of landing upside down on the rock, breaking something, and far worse not being able to kayak for a few weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I knew it would be a tight landing, but I felt like I could do it. Same deal here. The Wellerbr\u00fccke is just down the road, and I have an Ozone.
