I spent 4 months in Chile, 3 months in Canada, and 6 months traveling around the United States. I paddled for 150+ days, competed in 20 competitions, and learned many new tricks!<\/p>\n<p>I started out my school year in Chile, running all the classics, like the Palguin, the Fuy and went south to Patagonia to paddle\u00a0the infamous\u00a0Futaleufu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-20475 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/>\u00a0Next, I went to the Pacific Northwest for 2 months and paddled in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-20478 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"343\" height=\"343\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-1024x1024.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage.png 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 343px) 100vw, 343px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, I traveled around Colorado and Canada for the summer competing\u00a0in multiple events. I had a great time and I\u00a0podiumed in all the freestyle events, and beat my personal record twice in one day! Starting off scoring a 390 point ride, to then scoring a 450!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-20480 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-1-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"377\" height=\"377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-1-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-1-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.pyranha.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Untitled-collage-1.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 377px) 100vw, 377px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After my summer competing I went home to Alabama for a month and then left again&#8230; Not a shocker!!! I got to paddle my dream river, the Claro and fell off many waterfalls, and I mean many waterfalls!
