It has been a busy month out here. Finishing up the World Cup, Gauley Fest, and a little Green in between. Jeremy and I decided to\u00c2\u00a0finish the remainder of the month\u00c2\u00a0after the Black Rodeo-with a Team road trip. We picked up new Team member Dave Fusilli and the three of us headed south to Asheville.<\/p>\n

We got to the warehouse around 4 and managed to get a sweet late afternoon run with Dinver and Dave. Jeremy fired up the monkey for his first time(without scouting I might add)\u00c2\u00a0and stuck it nicely!
\n\"Nick<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0\"J.Kentucky\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Another day on the Green-two runs for me-one run for Dave(forgot his\u00c2\u00a0helmet on 2nd run:)and no runs for Jeremy-Van detailing and boat fixing. Then off to the final event of the World Cup at Rock Island in our new Pyranha rig!<\/p>\n

Two days\u00c2\u00a0at\u00c2\u00a0Rock\u00c2\u00a0Island\u00c2\u00a0with limited water- we were ready to get to West Virginia for some good Gauley action. At Rock Island Jeremy bested us all with a respectable 29th place in the freestyle event and\u00c2\u00a0took 2nd place that weekend in the squirt competition!<\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rolling deep at the Gauley where Pyranha truly represents-7 4-Twenty’s in our group alone! Some Great play and massive big tricks in our 4-twenty’s tired us out pretty good.<\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0\"Loopdat4-Twenty\"<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0\"Dave<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0\"Huge<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0\"Jeremy<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

Met up with Matt Hamilton, Jeremy decided to stay in WV\u00c2\u00a0and squirt all week at the New. While Dave, myself, two boys from Colorado-Connor Finney and Justin Mitchel, and my brother Graham\u00c2\u00a0jumped in Matt’s van(pictured above)to drive to\u00c2\u00a0Maryland for\u00c2\u00a0the Mass Start Upper Yough Race on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0\"Bat<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 \"Conor@cheeseburger\"<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 \"Haminator\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Cold rainy weather didn’t keep us away and the short boat class\u00c2\u00a0consisted\u00c2\u00a0of mostly\u00c2\u00a0our group with the exception of a few locals, and was made up\u00c2\u00a0with a majority\u00c2\u00a0of the boats being\u00c2\u00a0Burns! It was like our own class-the Burn class! It was a\u00c2\u00a0Great Race-As you would have guessed all Burns in the top 3. I came out on Top-Dave right behind me followed by Graham. That night\u00c2\u00a0after adding\u00c2\u00a0up our winnings(total of 50 bucks)\u00c2\u00a0we had are own little\u00c2\u00a0after party camped out at Piney Mountain.<\/p>\n

Back to the Gauley for “Mud” Fest 2006. The Open event on Friday was a blast! Dave and I nearly reached the podium in the Mass start race through Pillow, after taking the lead I was\u00c2\u00a0soon hip checked into the eddy behind Volkswagon\u00c2\u00a0where\u00c2\u00a0I was\u00c2\u00a0run down by a huge train of boats\u00c2\u00a0and went from 1st to last. Dave managed to squeeze in there in 4th place. Earlier in the day however, I did manage to make the top three\u00c2\u00a0with the 3rd\u00c2\u00a0Best run through Pillow rapid!\u00c2\u00a0It was a\u00c2\u00a0very fun event,\u00c2\u00a0with a great showing of competitors!<\/p>\n

After the festival,\u00c2\u00a0our team parted ways, but\u00c2\u00a0we will be teaming up again this week to head to the Charlotte Whitewater Park for some races and rodeos planned for monday! Until next time, Have fun out there and be safe!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
