Pyranha Team Tour \u2013 On a mission \u2013 Huningue<\/b><\/p>\n

After a wonderful few days in Austria, we once again set off on our travels towards Hunigune, France.\u00a0 We made a short detour to the beautiful old town of Bremgarten just outside of Zurich, Switzerland.\u00a0 This was a fantastic place to surf and practice our freestyle skills. \u00a0The water was 21 degrees that made a welcoming change from the chilling glacial waters of Austria and made it a perfect place for an evening session.<\/p>\n

On our arrival to Huningue, we met Norbert, our local dealer at Canadian Canoe Shop. \u00a0The shop was our base for the weekend whilst we worked on the artificial White Water Course just a stone throw from our location.\u00a0Our mission was to support Norbert by providing demos and coaching clinics for a wide range of abilities, mainly covering play boating and river skills.\u00a0 With a large team presence on this year\u2019s tour, it really allowed us to reach a maximum number of paddlers over the weekend.<\/p>\n

By arriving on the Thursday before the event it allowed us to plan a small mission on the Friday over to the Rues River in Central Switzerland.\u00a0 This was just a day mission that provided wide a range of excitement for the team.\u00a0 We\u00a0 arrived back in time for diner at the shop and catch up with our host.<\/p>\n

Norbert has become somewhat of a celebrity in the local area due to his well-stocked shop and his Canadian can-do attitude. \u00a0His shop and courses have done much to foster the development for many local and visiting kayakers.\u00a0 We always have lots of fun staying onsite due to the welcoming atmosphere, facilities and friendly service.<\/p>\n

Huningue is an artificial white water course situated on the boarders of Germany, Switzerland and France just outside of Basel and is easily accessible by all modes of transport.\u00a0 The none-intimidating features on the course allow all river users to comfortably develop their skills.<\/p>\n

After the very successful weekend with Norbert, it was time to head south for the student boater x in L’argentiere. \u00a0A great weekend was had by all.<\/p>\n
