TEAM >TEAM PYRANHA USA & CANADA
Location: Moscow, Idaho
BIO:My name is Erin Clancey, but most people call me Clancey or Big Errrn. I love Idaho and Montana, river trips, Skookumchuck, and observing the behavior of animals, including humans. I have a Ph.D. in Biology, and if you spend enough time with me I will probably tell you something about the human mating system, whether you want to know about it or not.
I started kayaking when I was 23 while guiding on the Kern River, CA, and I have wanted to paddle every day since I started. I moved to Idaho in 2007 to start graduate school and I was lucky enough that my research required me to spend my summers in Montana just north of Missoula. Missoula has a wonderful paddling community and a wave in town. It was the Brennan’s wave that got me hooked on freestyle and interested in pushing myself as a kayaker.
Current Missions:Go out one night every month this year dressed as a cowgirl. I am also training for U.S. Team Trials, and then in May, I’m looking forward to getting back on the road and heading out for the Colorado tour.
Boats: Small Jed (I can’t wait for the carbon version!!) and small Shiva. Love them!!
