Hooker Thigh Grips
A small unobtrusive contoured mounting unit attaches to the kayak shell giving forward and backward adjustability, allowing paddlers the choice to have their control from the thigh or further up the leg. Attached to this is an ergonomic rotating thigh hook. This padded system can be rotated over the thigh or retracted back to give a more or less aggressive position as required. The thigh hook can be removed and the mounting can be used as a thigh grip on its own, for paddlers with larger thighs or those who require less contact and more room to exit the boat.

Motion Control Hip Pads (04)
Our research has also led to our new integrated foam hip pads that are now mounted off the side seat foams giving unparalleled energy transmission, feedback and paddler comfort. Easily adjustable with self-adhesive shims, these hips pads roll front to back with your hip region, which is not designed to take compression.
Adjustment instructions for each side (if required):
- The 'MC' Hip Pads ( O4 ) are pre-fitted to reduce the amount of time spent outfitting the kayak
- If required foam shims are included to increase the size of the Hip Pads.
- The foam shims can be slotted behind the Hip Pads or directly glued to the side seat foams.
- The Hip Pads can be removed from the side seat foams if not required.
Please Note: The foam shims can still be stuck directly on to the side seat foams and used on their own if desired.

Floater Ratchet Backrest
Already proven and respected as the 'norm', Pyranha's thigh grip mounted ratchet backrest system has been improved with new short webbing runners that greatly reduce wear and tougher webbing straps. Still adjustable through the spraydeck and based on our ergonomic studies for the sitting position, the backrest pad has been totally redesigned to support the lower back and help reduce overall paddler fatigue.
Adjustment Instructions:
- Primary adjustment through twin cam buckle on backband.
- Fine secondary adjustment through thigh bracket mounted ratchet system.
- Angle and height can be adjusted through tensioning of rear mounted elastics.
- Always ensure safe exit is possible in an emergency. If in doubt test in safe environment.

Freeride and Freestyle Seats
Forming the base of our common seating position found in the new boats, a redesigned ergonomic, fully padded ABS seat unit fully supports the paddler and assists energy transmission to the hull and allows direct feedback from the boat. It also incorporates fast tool-free adjustment allowing for quick changes to the trim of the kayak riverside, enabling gear to be easily carried or different performance set-ups to be tried out.
