Way back in the early 70's, tucked away in North West England a young, keen and enthusiastic kayaker called Graham Mackereth decided that no one was making the kind of whitewater kayaks that he and a lot of his friends wanted to use, so along with the rest of his family he set about designing and manufacturing their own.
About the same time in Derby, England. The Patrick family were also starting to build kayaks but this time specializing in composite sea kayaks for the very same reasons, because they wanted to use the best kayaks out there.
The rest, as they say is history!
Now a third company, Venture, has been born, using the design expertise of both Pyranha and P&H to manufacture entry-level kayaks for those who are super keen to take to the water but are looking for a simple, affordable, easy to paddle kayak to learn and develop experience with.
From their small humble beginnings, two of the worlds most recognised kayak companies have grown together, and together they are building a third.
All three companies' still fundamentally believe in the philosophy of working together as a team both internally and externally with fellow paddlers, dealers and suppliers. We believe in producing the best kayaks that we can for the specialist users around the globe who are all part of our worldwide family.
