Where can I buy a Pyranha Kayak?

No, we only supply our boats through our well established dealer network around the globe. We believe this gives you the best ability to get local advice on river conditions and which of our product is best for your area and paddling requirements. It also lets you demo the boats and others on the market so that you can make the right choice for you. By buying through your local dealer you are helping support a great local resource for you and other paddlers in your area. If all the manufactures supplied direct then these stores would not exist!

At Pyranha we are continually evolving our designs. Ultimately we try to get you the boats you need at the right time of year, so a creeker for creeking season, a playboat for the warmer summer waters however this get harder when you consider that the seasons are nearly opposite in the different hemispheres! We generally launch most of our new range in the latter part of the year and the playboats in early spring. It is always worth checking out the news section for the latest design updates.

At Pyranha we pride ourselves on having a great team around the globe as well as here at the factory with a multitude of skills we can call on at any time. As well as using the latest computer programmes and technologies we also rely heavily on years of experience from the boaters within the company as well as feedback from paddlers of all abilities. In essence each design is a culmination of hard graft, the latest ideas and at the end of the day, teamwork.

Pyranha were the first kayak company to recognise the need for different sizes of kayak for different sizes of paddler. Each different size is designed with an optimum weight in mind (including all the gear you want to put in there!) and this should be considered when choosing your boat (there are handy graphs in the brochure which can be found on the individual product pages) These should be used as a guide to point you in the right direction. Then actually getting in the boat and having a go is really the only way to be certain that you have made the right choice. Again getting down to your local dealer for a demo is the best way.
